I'm hoping it'll either be an adaptation of one of the novels (the murder mystery one would be awesome), something focused on yu, minami, patty & hiyori, some sort of semi-focus on characters that were missed/neglected from the manga/games (Kō Yasaka from the Anime Research Club, Yamato Nagamori from the PS2 game, Hikaru Sakuraba the biology teacher, Fuyuki Amahara the school nurse, Hinata&Hikage Miyakawa from the doujin shop, even more focus on the characters families) or something.. I'd rather it not be so much like the original episodes if possible because the OVA gives them the opportunity to branch out with it a little more.

According to most blogs posts I've read, seems the OVA will revolve around the relationship between Anime Tenchou & Konata.

While I never expected them to expand on the relationship between Konata and Kagami, I think the idea of focusing more on the relationship (rabu rabu or not) with Konata and Anime Tenchou is silly. He's there for the lulz and that's that. If they do blatantly ignore any Konami interactions, let's hope they at least confirm-ish Yutaka/Minami.

They used to show TV spots in Japan for Genesis of Aquarion where they would say the show's catch phrase "Anata to gattai shitai" or "I want to unite with you."

Okay, now it makes much more sense.

I get the feeling that these are more like those Gurren-Lagann Parallel Works videos, especially the frog one. It was actually strange and self-referential, with Konata sounding very heartless and out-of-character, Miyuki getting referred to as "Songstress of the Milky Way" (LOL Macross Frontier), and WE WILL CONQUER from the Frogs. Also, Shiraishi calls himself Zero.

The Kagami dream sequence is probably the best thing Konami fans will get, what with the fact that she had a dream about Konata dressing her up and taking places. It was really something.

The rest of it was all pretty good, with Konata calling Miyuki 'Miwiki', Tsukasa and Misao fighting as side characters, and the whole Online thing. Guess this makes Kagami an otaku now?

Sounded pretty clear at the beginning after reading the phrase and knowing what to listen for. The LS tendency to bleep out borrowed phrases paired with the identity of the phrase may have led to the sub that's out being translated the way it was.

It seems more likely that "Konata" would be used due to the increase in comedic value that accompanies this pun, but it is unlikely that any subtext is intended. People have freaky dreams and say funny shit sometimes.

I concede, "intended" was perhaps the wrong word.

While the subtext was both present and intentional, the circumstances surrounding it make such a device usable because it will never have to be elaborated upon in the future.

Whether it is exposed and developed is, of course, at the discretion of the writers, but keeping such a relationship to subtext and fanservice has been and probably will continue to be their technique.
