Isn't it about time we discussed this game properly?
OK, go ahead?
Actually, I'd like to know more about this game.
The title appears to be 'Lucky Star...' then something I don't know. I think it's three syllables long. Also it appears that Miyuki is on the cover and it's for the DS.

Well, there are a number of story modes where you select a main character to follow and choose a second one to play as. Each character you play as can been levelled up in various stats after every encounter as well as the story modes offering alternate costumes for your characters which sometimes add abilities after a certain point that help in future matches, and extra paths based on how well you do to increase replay value. There's also another mode that's purely fighting without a story where you'll go through each character until you've reached a peak. In this mode you'll start with Yutaka, Konata and the Nanako. After completing the story mode with all the available characters you'll be able to further in this mode, eg; Start off with Yutaka and Konata in story mode; you're able to fight Yutaka, Konata and Nanako in "arcade mode". After completing Konata's story mode with Yutaka you've used all the possible combinations (Yutaka doesn't get her own mode), so after beating Nanako in arcade mode you'll go on to fight Tsukasa and stop afterwards. Now that you've surpassed Nanako you can use her in story mode! Complete Nanako’s journey through Konata’s story mode and you’ll have again completed all the possible combinations, meaning that when you play the arcade mode you’ll no longer stop after fighting Tsukasa, rather going on to Minami. Tsukasa has her own story mode when you unlock her so you’ll need to finish it with Konata, Yutaka and Nanako, as well as Konata’s mode with Tsukasa if you want anymore characters. Also, in arcade mode each combo you do earns you stars (you have a list of your last five attacks, pairing them up or making a pretty string will earn you some stars as well as inflicting extra damage. Another thing is that mid-fight you can remove some of the useless attacks from the list to make room for helpful ones), which will decide whether or not you get access to a bonus round minigame- completing these randomly gives you special items to use in story mode, each item having its own level based on how good they are (D, C, B, A and S). Oh, and all the matches are maths competitions.
Pics or it didn't happen.
There- now it happened.

So... I have decided to finally get this game. There are just couple things I would like to know about this game, and I would really appreciate any information you guys could give me.How similar is the first game, Lucky Star Moe Drill, to the sequel, Shin Lucky Star Moe Drill: Tabidachi? Which is "better"? Opinions are welcome. And also, there is the DX pack for the second(?) game, what are the extras included in that?

>>19775The second one you need Geography for, and instead of writing numbers you use a touchpad phonedial thing. Oh, and everyone can solve 396x23 at the speed of light. Go for the first.

Go for the sequel. There's much more to do: math calculations, Japanese to English translations, tsundere quiz, Japanese dialect quiz, memory puzzles, Japanese recitation exercises, drill minigame, magic square puzzle. Also, the math calculation portion gives you the option to use either the input method from the first game, or the new 10 button method (which I think is way better).
From the sequel.
