Indeed, in my Japanese to Japanese dictionary, 突っ込む is listed as meaning "Relating to deeply" or "To penetrate strongly." My Japanese to English dictionary lists "to meddle" as an additional meaning. None of the entries list "To reply" as a meaning though.

a Tsukkomi character is, in a comical combi, the "serious" one who will reply to what the "boke" says (the stupid one, Konata or Tsukasa in LS) by down-to-earth or cynical remarks

Yes. Her voice is second best, after Konata.

Problem with being a Misao fan is that she isn't even a secondary character (Like she said, she's almost a background char) so even when the show tries to shift focus from the main group they don't give her much attention.

Sadly we're more likely to see episodes and merchandise about Yutaka and her group than about Misao and Ayano. Goddamn, I'd kill for a Misao PVC figure! KILL!
